How to Take Possession in Property Law?

You can gain possession of your property through legal means by receiving the possession certificate. Here is the offline process for the same.
  1. To begin with, you need to submit an application for possession certificate along with a few documents to the official at the Deputy Secretary’s Office. 
  2. Make sure to take note of acknowledgement while doing so. This process is free of charge.
  3. Within 7 days, you will be notified to collect your possession certificate.
  4. You will have to sign in a register, which serves as an acknowledgement of receiving the certificate.
