How to remove anti slip tape from stairs ?

If you are a clumsy person, you should invest in anti-slip tape for stairs. It has been an absolute life-changer for me. I used to slip down the staircase, especially when I was wearing socks. Now, that doesn't happen. The tape is a must in a house with senior citizens. It will lessen their chances of slipping and hurting themselves. 

You can use heat to melt the liquid-based adhesive from the strip. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer for hot air. A temperature of 60~70ºC is perfect

You can get a white spirit or a harsher solvent (MEK or toluene). These are harsher solvents that will remove the residue left behind. 

Usually, anti-skid tape for stairs is designed in such a way that it doesn't come off easily. Manufacturers make it durable as well as effective. You can try to remove the tape with rubbing alcohol. It is a common non-solvent. You can also use acetone, or nail polish remover.

Another solution is strapping off the anti-skid strips for stairs. You can use a flat strapping tool to remove the corners. Use ‘low energy pull’ to remove the adhesive.
