Hi buddy, I’ll show you how to pack a vacuum cleaner for moving. We were shifting from Ahmedabad to Vadodara after living in the city for five years. So, I took up the responsibility to ensure everything was packed well.

How to Pack Your Vacuum Cleaner for Shifting?

1. The first tip I have for you is that you must pack the vacuum cleaner at last. This will help you in cleaning all the mess created while packing the other items.

2. Empty the vacuum cleaner by either throwing away the dust bag or emptying the cleaner’s canister. If the equipment consists of carpet cleaning liquid, you’ll have to empty this as well.

3. Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a damp cloth and use a dry cloth to dry it. 

4. After this, you’ll have to disassemble the vacuum cleaner by following the manual of the equipment. 

5. Take a box big enough to store the vacuum cleaner. I would say that the box in which the equipment came would be the best to pack the vacuum cleaner in. However, if you don’t have it, use a strong cardboard box. 

6. Place packaging paper inside the box and spread it well to cover every corner. You can opt to pack the main body in one box and the accessories in the other to ensure a higher level of protection.

7. After packing, place more packaging paper wherever there are gaps to cover them. Tape the boxes firmly to seal them.

8. Lastly, label the box as heavy - vacuum cleaner for the body and heavy- vacuum cleaner’s accessories for the accessories. This will help in keeping the boxes safe while moving.
