A local authority area's ward number is a number that is assigned to carry out electoral tasks. India divides its administrative entities into wards and zones. There are a few easy steps I took to get my ward number. Those steps are as follows:

• I went to the official website of Local Government Directory -

  https://lgdirectory.gov.in/viewWard.do

• Then, I entered the state.

• I selected the local body type.

• Then, I entered the captcha as shown in the image.

• Finally, I clicked ‘Get LGD Codes of Wards.’
