Hi there, Reyansh. If you are confused regarding how to clean laminate cabinets, I can clear that up for you. So, for basic maintenance cleaning of laminate furniture, mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water in a spray bottle. You can spray this solution on a soft, microfibre cloth and wring out the excess moisture, followed by wiping the laminate surface gently. I am sharing methods for tough stains and cleaning grease and oil marks on laminate below.

Ways to Clean Laminate Furniture

  1. Stubborn Stains: Make a paste by mixing baking soda with water, apply it to the stain and gently scrub with a soft cloth. Then, rinse the laminate with clean water and let it dry.

  2. Grease and Oil Stains: Apply a small amount of white vinegar on a piece of cloth and gently scrub the affected area. Finish by rinsing with clean water and let it dry.

I am hoping you now know how to clean laminate furniture.

My laminate furniture was looking really dirty, greasy, and stained, so I recently planned to clean it. I found some simple steps online about how to clean laminate furniture, like mixing dish soap with warm water and spraying it on a microfiber cloth. I gave it a try, and it worked really well. I have shared the full steps below if you want to try them too.

What is the Best Way to Clean Laminate Furniture?

Let me walk you through how I cleaned the furniture.

  1. I started by mixing a few drops of dish soap with warm water in a spray bottle.

  2. Then I sprayed that onto a microfiber cloth (not directly on the furniture), wiped it out, and wiped the laminate surfaces gently.

  3. For some stubborn dirt, I used a soft-bristle brush and scrubbed lightly, it worked pretty well.

  4. After cleaning, I dried everything with a clean cloth so no moisture was left to cause damage. For the tough stains, I mixed some baking soda with water to make a paste, rubbed it gently with a soft cloth, then wiped it off with water.

  5. When I came across greasy spots, I just put a bit of white vinegar on a cloth and rubbed them gently. Then I wiped the area with water and dried it off.

  6. To finish up and bring back the shine, I used a 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar on a microfiber cloth and wiped the surface in circles. It made it look fresh again

This is how I cleaned the laminate furniture. I hope you now know the process.

I can help you learn how to remove stains from laminate furniture. The best way is to use mild soap and warm water solution. If the stains are hard, you can use some market-bought cleaning solution, but make sure it does not damage the laminate. You can learn about the process next.

How can I Clean My Laminate Furniture?

Laminate furniture is very easy to clean. You can use a microfiber cloth to dust the surface weekly, preventing the buildup of dirt and debris. If the stains are hard, you can go with:

  • Gentle Cleaning Solution: Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water, lightly dampen a soft cloth, and wipe the surface in circular motions.

  • Avoid Excess Moisture: Make sure that the cloth is not too wet, as excess water can damage laminate furniture.

  • Remove Stains: Use a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, apply it to a soft cloth and gently blot the stain. Vinegar is acidic so make sure you do not use it excessively and opt for this process only if the mild dish soap and water solution fails to work.

  • Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, use a dry cloth to remove any moisture, ensuring the laminate is completely dry.

This is how to clean white laminate furniture as well. All these processes are really effective but if you fail to get the result, hire a professional cleaner.

It is very important to take care of all the furniture in your home and maintain its life for a long time. This requires great effort, especially if you have wooden furniture. Wooden furniture tends to be exposed to wear and tear so it is important to take good care of it. If you have laminated furniture, there are a few special tips that may come in handy. Read on to know how to clean laminate furniture including cupboards and kitchen cabinets.

How to clean laminate furniture at home?

Laminate furniture is delicate. It can experience scratches or may fade or discolor if exposed to sunlight. So here are the tips one should know on how to clean laminate cupboards and kitchen cabinets:

  • Do not use abrasive clothing to wipe off dirt or dust

  • Use damp microfiber cloth to clean the surface

  • Do not use wet cloth or it will seep into the furniture and eventually warp.

  • Do not pour any strong chemicals or bleaches on the surface of the laminate furniture. They are extremely harmful for the lamination.

  • Cover your laminate furniture with mat or coasters to avoid any marks from spills.

How to clean white laminate cabinets that have yellowed?

I personally use a hack that works well for me. I use a spoonful of vinegar and a pinch of baking soda in one cup of water and mix it. Whenever some oil or yellow pigment spills on the laminate, I take a cotton swab and rub the mixture on it gently. This trick works for me.

If you wish to protect the color and lamination on your furniture, then do not over expose it in the sunlight. The laminate will wear off and color will quickly start fading.
