Use a suitable upholstery cleaner on the urine spot. Wear gloves while cleaning. Gently press the cleaner into the fabric so it can reach the affected area.
After that, add a small amount of plain water to the spot. The water helps flush the urine from inside the cushion. Do not use too much water.
Use the wet vacuum again. Move slowly and press firmly over the cushion to remove the water and urine. You can repeat the water and extraction process around three times.
Place clean towels over the wet area. Put a heavy, flat object on the towels and leave it for about 24 hours. The towels will soak up the water from the sofa cushion.
After 24 hours, remove the towels and check the area. If you can still smell urine or see urine stains, repeat the cleaning process.
