In inheritance cases, a death certificate, a legal heir certificate, or succession documents may also be required.

• After submitting the application and paying the applicable BBMP mutation or transfer charges online, municipal officials verify the ownership records and tax payment status. 

• Once verification is completed, the new owner’s name is updated in the BBMP property tax records, and future tax receipts will display the revised ownership information.

Property owners should ensure all pending taxes are cleared before applying because unpaid dues can delay approval.

As far as I know, BBMP property tax name change is not possible online now. It was possible earlier because a friend of mine changed her name online for the BBMP property tax. But first, she chose the khata transfer process. But I have checked it now and the khata transfer service is not available online now. So, the name change in BBMP property tax can only be done offline but visiting the BBMP office.

• But as of now, if you click on the BBMP Khata Transfer option, it will redirect to a page stating that the service is not available right now.

Concerned BBMP Officials are required to make any changes to the Name, Address, or any other Details on BBMP Property Tax Paid Receipts.
