Hello Sahil, I can help you by sharing the different types of boxes for packaging. I’ve moved from houses a few times in the past two years due to an unstable work location. So, I am aware of the different packaging boxes suitable for this job.

Different Types of Box Packaging?

  1. Corrugated Cardboard Boxes: These are mainly used in delivering products by shopping websites. They are big, brown boxes which are sturdy and protect the goods inside against shock and vibration.

  2. Corrugated Mailer Boxes: These are named so because of the fact that they can fit through the gap of a letterbox. They are compact and can be customised. They have the same corrugated material as the ones I talked about in my previous point.

  3. Folding Carton Boxes: These are used for product packaging and are smaller in size with a greater thickness when compared to corrugated cardboard boxes. Made up of paperboard, they have folds and tuck flaps that slide into the opposite ends to close the box.

This is all I have to share with you. I hope you now know how many types of boxes are there.

What are the Different Types of Cardboard Boxes Packaging

My uncle owns a pharmacy. I often notice he places orders for different types of packaging boxes, to store medicines.

What are the Types of Boxes Packaging?

My uncle introduced me to a list of different packaging boxes. These are as follows;

  • Cardboard boxes:

These are a common term for corrugated boxes. The most popular uses for these boxes are large shipping, storage, shifting and storing shoes.

  • Paperboard boxes:

Paperboard is a sturdy yet lightweight material used to make paperboard boxes. Any custom structure or shape can be effortlessly formed out of the paperboard sheet through cutting and shaping. These features make these boxes the ideal choice for customised packaging. These boxes are useful for storing items like milk, juice, frozen food, cosmetics, and medications.

  • Plastic boxes:

The best things about plastic boxes are that they are more robust than paperboard boxes and can be recycled.

  • Rigid Boxes:

Apple Watches and iPhones, among other high-end and luxury goods, are packaged in rigid or set-up boxes. These boxes have an elegant appearance and are incredibly sturdy. Highly condensed paperboard, which is thicker than that used for a typical folding carton, is used to make the box.

  • Chipboard packaging:

The most popular uses of chipboard packaging are for food and beverage, medical, cosmetic, and electronic products. Made from recycled paper stock, these boxes are simple to fold and cut.

My uncle told me that the type of box you need depends on the products and needs of your business.
