You may be wondering: Is PAN card mandatory for TDS? Well, as per the government rules it is mandatory to pay TDS with a PAN card. If you do not have a PAN card the TDS will be deducted at a higher rate. To pay your TDS go to Form 26Q and tap on deduction details. Choose the deductee/ customer and the applicable section. Enter the payment amount. A person without a PAN Card has to edit the rate of tax as 20% since the TDS must be deducted at 20%.
