Uttarahalli is simple and useful. You don’t have to go far for anything. Roads are a bit tight sometimes. It’s not fancy, but it works for daily life.

The area is quiet. Almost too quiet if you're used to central Bangalore. There are no proper cafes here, forget a bar. The closest decent place is beku in JP nagar

Uttarahalli is improving but slowly. BBMP road work happens in patches and the quality is not regular. My building had a waterlogging complaint from tenants two monsoons in a row because the storm drain outside is half-blocked.

Monsoon here is a problem nobody tells you about before you move in. Uttarahalli Lake overflows when there's heavy rain and the roads near it waterlog badly. I had to wade through ankledeep water twice last August just to get to the main road.

Been renting a 2 bhk near Chikkalasandra for about a year now. Rent is around 25k which honestly beats anything comparable in JP Nagar or Banashankari..
