Talaghattapura has grown in the last few years after the NICE Ring Road was built. Also, in 2021, the new Thalaghattapura metro station was opened on the Green Line of Namma Metro. The changes in Talaghattapura are similar to how Bangalore is growing. It used to be a farm, but now it's a lively place to live with new houses and modern things. Residents of Talaghattapura include young professionals, families, and seniors.
We bought a 2BHK here in 2019. Initially, it felt a little far, but now the whole Kanakapura stretch is booming. Metro made a big difference. Rental demand is decent, young IT couples mostly. There’s greenery around, not too many high-rise buildings yet, which keeps the area open and breathable.
I bought a flat here and gave it on rent to a software engineer. The apartment society is well-managed, and rent comes on time. The area has developed nicely, supermarkets, medical stores, parks all are accessible. Some minor drainage issues during heavy rain, but nothing serious.
I stay here with two flatmates. All of us are in IT and working from home most days. The locality is peaceful, no loud traffic or pollution. Metro station is nearby, which is a big plus. We usually order food from nearby joints.
Invested in a villa plot here. At that time, prices were affordable and the area was developing fast. Today, there are schools, medical facilities, and decent connectivity. The Green Line metro made it much easier for people to travel to city centre. Still not a commercial hub, but very liveable.
Staying here with family since 2015. Love the peaceful environment. It’s not too crowded, and people are friendly. There's a big temple nearby where we often go in the evenings. Grocery shops, clinics, and schools are all nearby. Traffic is less chaotic compared to central Bangalore.

I moved to Talaghattapura about 6 months ago for my job in Banashankari. Commute is super convenient thanks to the Green Line metro, I just walk to the station. Rent is quite reasonable for a 1BHK, and the area has everything I need: supermarkets, small restaurants, even a gym close by. It’s not too noisy, and I feel safe walking around in the evening.
