The area is well connected to main roads, which makes commuting fairly smooth. A few lanes could be cleaner, but essentials are always close by.

Tenants tend to stay long as everything they need is close. The locality is well settled, though some older homes require occasional touch ups. Overall, owning here feels stable.

I've been renting a 2 BHK in Laggere for the past year. The locality is peaceful, and my children's school is just a 10 minute walk away. Public transport is easily accessible, as there are three metros nearby, making my daily commute hassle-free. However, during the monsoon, some internal roads get waterlogged, which is a concern.

I chose Laggere for its affordability and connectivity. The Outer Ring Road is nearby, and I can reach my office in Peenya within 20 minutes. The area has all basic amenities, but there is no parks or leisure spots nearby.

Visited Laggere for a client meeting. The area is well-connected, and reaching here from the airport was straightforward. However, the signage could be better for first-time visitors.

Our home in Laggere is spacious and well-connected. The pricing is decent too, considering how safe and convenient the neighborhood is. Orion Mall is also around 5 kms away, which works perfectly for our shopping needs.

Explored Laggere during my Bangalore trip. The local temples and markets offer a glimpse into the city's culture. Streets looked vibrant, but cleanliness can be improved.

Whats good about Laggere

  • Close to various industrial areas such as Peenya
  • Plenty of good schools and colleges
  • Well-connected to other parts of the city
  • Affordable place for renters

What can be improved about Laggere

  • Traffic issues can occur during peak hours
  • Constant development gives rise to pollution issues
  • Some areas are very congested leading to parking issues.

Internet in Laggere for Work From Home

I'm planning to shift to Laggere, as my wife's property is over there. I'm actually working from home and need stable internet every day. I want to know how easy it is to get a good fibre connection inside Laggere. Do providers cover most inner streets, or are there areas with frequent drops and slow speeds?

Is Laggere Improving or Just Stuck as It Is

I have lived in Laggere for some time now, and I keep wondering if things are getting better. Roads, waste, traffic, and planning seem unchanged in many parts. I want to know if others feel the area is slowly improving or if the same issues keep repeating every year. Does it feel like progress is happening, or are things mostly stuck?

Public Transport in Laggere, Safe and Reliable for Women?

I am moving to Laggere next month and will be fully dependent on BMTC buses for my daily commute. Safety is a key concern for me, and I would like to understand how reliable bus connectivity from Laggere feels in everyday conditions. I am particularly looking for feedback from people who travel regularly via Laggere Main Road, near Laggere Bridge, and towards Peenya and Rajajinagar. Are buses frequent during morning and evening hours, and are waiting times manageable? I would also like to know how safe the main and inner bus stops feel during early mornings and late evenings. Honest, firsthand experiences from daily commuters would be helpful.

Is Laggere a Good Place for Families with Kids?

I am planning to move to Laggere along with my family, as I came to know that the rental rates are low in that area. I want to know if it works well for kids. As my kid is turning 6 this year, I wanted to know if there are any good schools nearby, also what about the basic needs nearby? Does it feel safe and comfortable for families? I am trying to understand if Laggere is only suitable for working adults or if it can support family life too.

Moved to Laggere for Cheaper Rent

I shifted to Laggere mainly because rent was much cheaper compared to other areas. At first, it felt like a good deal. But after living here for a few months, I started noticing the sacrifices. I want to know if people who moved here because the rent is lower feel happy with their choice, or if the money saved comes with daily problems and stress?

Does Staying in Laggere Actually Save Commute Time?

I'm looking for job opportunities in the Peenya or Yeswanthpur area, and I'm planning to shift to Laggere once I get a job, as few of my friends suggested it would be a better choice. But, I want to know if it truly saves time every day. Does traffic still affect the commute? Or is the travel really shorter and calmer? I am trying to understand if choosing Laggere makes daily travel easier or just slightly less tiring.

Honestly, commuting from Laggere by BMTC is quite manageable. I travel regularly via Laggere Main Road towards Peenya and Rajajinagar, and buses are frequent during peak hours. I don't need to wait long. The main road and bus stops are usually busy. It feels safe because there are always people around.

Laggere is pretty chill for families. I have seen folks raising kids here with no big problems. It's not luxury living but very sustainable and safe. You get all basic needs like medical shops, hospitals, ATMs etc nearby and my daughter goes to Orchid International which is around 3-4 km from our apartment. Also you got many preschool to primary/secondary right in the hood so your 6 year old won’t be stuck on a crazy traffic every day

Yes, Laggere is convenient for families with kids. I live there with my family. You’ll find schools, preschools, clinics, parks, and daily needs close by. My kid goes to Honeycomb Pre-School, which is decent. The area is generally safe and calm.

Hey not gonna lie, if you are looking for something like Prestige high-rise with gym and pool, that’s more common in places like JR Nagar and Rajajinagar. Laggere is catching up but it’s still growing. you can find some clean apartments with basic facilities in smaller blocks like Narasimhaswamy Nagar though.

Laggere does not only have old houses. There are newer apartment blocks - usually 3-5 floors, with decent maintenance, lifts, parking and security. Anyway, don’t expect luxury amenities like big clubhouses. Areas closer to main roads and Peenya side tend to have slightly better options. If you want modern basics at a reasonable rent, Laggere works. If you want a township vibe, you’ll probably have to look elsewhere.

Same!! I shifted here for cheap rent but I moved out after a year. Bangalore can be pretty expensive and Laggere seems like a good deal for the space but I feel the area mostly works for temporary living, not settling down. I agree the area feels messy, noisy, and chaotic. There's also limited hangout spots. The constant traffic on main roads also adds up. But yea, saving money does feel like an achievement but only temporarily. If you prefer a good quality of lifestyle then no it's not worth it wasting time here just for few bucks. You can check out Nandini Layout, it's more residential, quieter and has parks and green spaces

Yes, it's worth it as the area usually offers lower rent than many areas, but it's only helpful if you work in an area such as Peenya, Yeshwanthpur, Rajajinagar, etc.

I have been living in Kempegowda Layout for the past five years. I agree that Laggere is more affordable compared to other areas when it comes to rent. But traffic congestion is a real challenge here, so you either get used to it to enjoy the lower rents or consider moving to a nearby area. On the bright side, there’s plenty to explore around Laggere, like ISKCON Bangalore and Bengaluru Palace.

I used to work around Peenya and stayed in Laggere for a while. Honestly, daily commute is easier compared to far-off East Bangalore. Yeswanthpur/Peenya are both under 20–30 mins by bike and auto most times. Traffic still exists, especially around Tumkur Road but still better than Marathahalli/Bellandur.

You can stay in Laggere if you work in Peenya or Yeswanthpur. The distance is short, maybe 3-6 km. Traffic exists, especially in the evenings around Outer Ring Road, Laggere Main Road, and market areas, and roads get crowded. You can commute in the morning to avoid traffic. On the housing side, rental options are fairly affordable. There are decent 2 BHK homes available in the Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 15,000 range per month. It's affordable compared to other nearby areas.

I live near Nandini Layout junction side, and I commute to Peenya for work. In the morning it is fine, but evenings are tough. Around 6:30 pm, the stretch from Laggere Main Road towards Nandini Layout 8th Main starts slowing down as roads get packed with buses and autos. Another problem spot is the small road near the Laggere vegetable market side, close to the milk booth area, where vendors occupy half the road in the evening.

I live in Kempegowda Layout, near Laggere, and commuting to Peenya can be quite hectic. Morning traffic is usually heavy because of regular commuters and school buses. It’s safer to start early, around 7-8 am works well. Returning by 4 pm is also better, as traffic tends to be lighter compared to other peak hours.

Well, it depends in where you work. If you work in West or North Bangalore. Laggere’s proximity to Peenya and metro access often reduces commute time, but during peak-hour traffic can still cause delays.
