Commute to BKC is quick from here if you catch a share auto to Bandra station early. But post 8 PM, traffic jams near the main junction slow everything down. Lots of small food spots around, which is super handy after work.
Staying in a PG near Danda village. Super affordable food options and sea view is right there for evening chill sessions. Lanes are super crowded and noisy, but honestly I don't care much... TBH it fits my pocket.
Living here has good perks like quick access to Bandra markets and eateries. But road conditions inside the village area are poor, especially during monsoon when waterlogs near lower lanes. You need to adjust with space constraint.
Visit my friends here often. Finding parking for my car near Khar Danda is absolute nightmare. I always park far away and walk. Vibe of the coastal community is nice though, especially near the shoreline.
Schools around Khar area are close, so daily drop is easy. But safety on narrow roads is a headache because delivery bikes rush through crowded lanes without slowing down. Parks are very few in the immediate area.
Water supply comes only for limited hours in the morning, so water storage is daily routine. Streets are super crowded, but neighbors are helpful and streets feel very safe even late night. Fresh fish market right outside is great.
Rental demand is always high due to proximity to Bandra and Santacruz West. Yields are solid, but roads and drainage infrastructure inside Koliwada limit premium pricing. Good for steady rental income overall.
