In the 17th century, the then-ruler of Saarakeya built the Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Hulimavu for the well-being of its citizens. Around 1600 AD, the Kodandarama Swamy Temple was renovated with the installation of idols of Seeta, Lakshmana, and Anjenaya Swamy. The Sri Kodandarama Swamy Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated at the temple every year.

It's close to several recreational spots in Bannerghatta. The national park and Iskon temple is also nearby which I often visit with my partner. The area is a bit away from the commotion, and has a peaceful ambience. Rent is cheap too.
I drove down to Hulimavu Lake last weekend in the morning, and loved the place. The streets are quiet and breezy. Good tourist place. not many food options nearby though.
I went to Sri Ramalingeshwara Temple here with my cousins, and was impressed by the rock carvings. The roads are quite narrow and felt congested. Otherwise, a good area with easy accessibility via metro
