I picked a flat here five years ago when prices were still reasonable. What stood out to me was the stable community and solid infrastructure. The area has seen slow but steady appreciation. Rental demand stays steady thanks to proximity to schools, clinics, and Chembur area.
Honestly, I didn’t expect much when I shifted, but this area grew on me. Residents are mostly old families, not too much noise. Good options for local groceries. You won’t find fancy gyms or big restaurants, but for everyday living, it's sorted.
I stay with my family in Chedda Nagar and honestly, I don’t think I’d shift elsewhere. The colony has a settled feel, not like these new buildings that keep changing tenants every few months. Markets are nearby, and medicals are open even late. Roads get crowded in the evening, but that’s Mumbai for you.
When I first came to Mumbai to scout areas, a friend recommended Chedda Nagar. I saw potential right away—it has this calm setup, unlike typical Mumbai chaos. Rental enquiries come regularly, especially from people working in BKC and Kurla belt. Value’s gone up nicely since 2018.
Visited my niece here. The colony felt neat and organised. Streets weren’t too crowded, and there were fruit vendors and kirana stores every few blocks. I liked how quiet the lanes were despite being in Mumbai. Everything seemed close and easy to reach.
I stay in Chedda Nagar because it is close to my office in Kurla. Travelling becomes easy with Chedda Nagar Junction and buses going towards Ghatkopar. I often walk near the small garden close to Amar Mahal Junction.
Daily shopping is simple in Chedda Nagar with local stores and places like D Mart Kurla nearby. Traffic is heavy during office hours, but that is common in Mumbai. The area feels safe and active. Rent is reasonable for this location.
Public transport is quite reliable with plenty of buses and shared autos going to the station. The area feels very safe at night
traffic is horrible here..If you drive a car, expect to be stuck for at least twenty minutes just trying to exit the colony.
Parking is the biggest struggle we face today. When these buildings were constructed, nobody anticipated every family having two cars. now...the internal lanes are constantly choked with vehicles.
Chedda nagar is decent..ir is not exactly a happening place for youngsters as the nightlife is no existent. But for someone like me who just wants a peaceful place to crash after a long day it works
