It's a growing residential area with new apartments coming up. Daily needs are available within 2-3 km from my place. I like the area as public transport is strong with Malad metro.

Renting here is affordable as compared to other sub-localities in Malad. The residential apartments are majorly located in internal lanes but access to markets and local shops is easy and convenient.

There are two metro stations close to this area so that explains the high rent. 1 BHK costs you more than Rs. 20,000 with basic amenities. It's a safe locality but some lanes are in bad condition and water logging issues are there during monsoon.

Being a resident for over 9 years, I love the social infrastructure here. Mall, markets, hospitals, clincs, etc are all within walking distance. I only wish there were more parks and green spaces as sometimes it gets congested and feels stuffy due to traffic.

Whats good about Appa Pada

  • Many renowned schools, colleges and hospitals nearby
  • Developed social and transportation infrastructure
  • Upcoming metro connectivity for efficient transit
  • Peaceful neighborhood amid green surroundings
  • Proximity to retail and entertainment hubs

What can be improved about Appa Pada

  • Traffic congestion along main roads during peak hours
  • Lack of integrated stormwater drainage system
  • Absence of parks and open public spaces
  • Scarcity of budget housing options in the area
  • Underdeveloped nightlife and economy compared to South Mumbai

On the whole, it fares well for balanced living with scope for added local amenities.

Appa Pada Reviews
