Decent place to settle down if you want cheap living. Vegetable market near station area gets super crowded after 6 pm, but fresh stuff is available cheap. Water timing is a bit restricted, but most buildings manage with tanks anyway so it is fine.
Footpaths near station road are fully occupied by hawkers, walking without tripping is a big task. Heavy dust from truck traffic near MIDC road makes breathing difficult during afternoons. Streets get dark early because half the streetlights don't work... basic stuff is missing.
Come here weekends to meet friends in West side. Getting an auto from station is never an issue and food joints near Hutatma Chowk are decent enough. Traffic gets slightly stuck near the flyover signal sometimes, but overall pretty chill locality to visit.
Property prices here are still reasonable compared to Kalyan or Dombivli. MIDC industrial belt keeps rental demand active throughout the year. Main issue is tanker reliance in some outer pockets during summer. Decent long term appreciation potential IMO.
Staying in a shared flat near Green City area for 4k. Direct buses and autos available for college, so travelling is sorted. Plenty of local mess and fast food joints around that don't hurt the pocket. NGL life here is pretty easygoing and budget friendly.
Delivery tempos get stuck near Swami Vivekananda flyover every single evening for 30 minutes. Road condition in internal market lanes is terrible, full of mud during rains. Customer footfall is okay, but garbage collection on the street is very irregular... absolute pain.
