For Buyer
Plenty of property-related documents need to be notarised before they count for anything officially — an affidavit, an agreement, a declaration. We coordinate the notary appointment and the entire process so you walk away with a properly witnessed and certified document, without chasing anyone yourself.
Get any document notarised without the running around.
A notary public is an authorised legal professional who verifies the identity of the people signing a document and certifies that they signed it willingly. Notarisation is used for affidavits, declarations, indemnity bonds, rent agreements, powers of attorney from abroad and many other papers that banks, courts, government offices and embassies ask to see in notarised form.
It is not the same as registration. A notarised document is certified by a notary under the Notaries Act, 1952, but it does not become a registered title document. A notarised sale agreement for a property, for example, does not transfer ownership. People often confuse the two, and the confusion has cost buyers a great deal. Notarisation shows who signed and that they signed in front of the notary. It says nothing about whether the content of the document is legally sound.
The practical part is where it gets tedious. You need the document in final form, original identity proof, the right stamp paper if the document requires it, and the signing person physically present, since notaries keep a register and need to see the signatory. We arrange the notary appointment, check that the document is ready and correctly stamped, and coordinate the signing. If the document is going abroad, tell us the country, because some need extra steps such as an apostille after notarisation.
