Large sliding windows are perfect for drawing room balconies.

These sliding glass doors are a great option if you’re thinking of adding a European touch to the room’s interior décor and like the design of French-style sliding door for drawing rooms. Perfect for tall ceilings, these doors are ideal if you want the light to enter the room. They are particularly well suited to rooms with access to open environments, such as balconies, so if your drawing room has a balcony, these are the best sliding doors money can buy!

2. A Single Wooden Door with a Wide Opening

It's impossible to go wrong with a large drawing room door design if the door area is small and only requires a single door. A dark-coloured wooden door is the most popular and classic choice. However, you can elevate the design by pairing the door with steel handles and stoppers to make it stand out even more.

3. Elegant Glass Doors with a Wooden Frame

elegant glass doors drawing room door design
Glass when combined with wooden frames makes for an attractive drawing room door design.

If you want to make a room seem larger and spacious, glass doors are an excellent choice for a modern drawing room door design. The mix of wood and glass exudes elegance like nothing else. In addition, having a glass door with a wooden frame is the best solution if you have any significant sections in your house that need to be separated.

4. Sleek Folding Glass Doors with a Black Metal Frame

A folding glass door is often used in drawing and living rooms that are large and spacious.

This drawing room glass door design with a black metal frame lends a sense of sophistication and modernity to the interior. You may use such a door to divide your living room area into different sections so that the dividers look modest but eye-catching to the guests.

5. Solid Wood Door with Traditional Carvings

Carved wooden doors look chic, vintage and are often used for guest rooms.

Wooden doors are well-known for adding a touch of elegance to traditional Indian houses. Indians have an unwavering affection for traditional carvings on solid wood, and this affection is unwavering. So, check out how this modern drawing room glass door design brings warmth to the otherwise stark white surroundings of the property while also adding a touch of desi flair.

6. Grey Door with Geometric Pattern

Grey is a popular colour for interior and exterior doors as it blends with any wall colour effortlessly.

Door knobs may also be an eye-catching design element. This main wooden drawing room door design will appeal to you if you appreciate elegant grey and patterns as part of your overall aesthetic. The long gold handle on the grey door is a dramatic element that elevates the overall appearance of the door.

7. Frosted Etched Glass Door with a Textured Finish

Frosted glass doors work best with wooden frames, offering the right amount of privacy and style to the room.

Door knobs may also be an eye-catching design element. It is not always necessary to have detailed carvings on doors. Simple geometric patterns, such as this one, are also effective. Even though it is a glass door, you cannot see through it due to the icy surface.

8. Wooden Door with Side Glass Panels

8. Wooden Door With Side Glass Panels
A large drawing room can always benefit from a traditional architectural touch with a wooden door and side glass panels.

A classic look in its own sense, no homeowner can say no to this palatial door design (assuming you had the necessary space). With its broad oak door and gold handle (which contrasts well with the patterned wallpaper), this room exudes sophistication. The wooden drawing room door design gives it the appearance of a traditional Jharokha!

9. A Green Drawing Room Door

Adding a splash of colour to the drawing-room door is the most cost-effective way of upgrading a rustic door.

A door designed in the style of magnificent fort entrances. If you got the impression that you have seen anything similar to this before, you are correct. The entrances of ancient forts inspired this drawing-room door design with a glass wooden double door. This historically-inspired door design is intended for people who want to incorporate our culture and history elements into their home’s decor.

10. Large Folding Doors for a Drawing Room

Folding doors are the most space-efficient way of installing a door in a small drawing room.

Door designs that are visually appealing for such large rooms are warranted. For example, the folding doors with a silver frame in this living room perfectly match the Scandinavian design scheme. Furthermore, since the drawing room mirror door design spans the whole length of the space, this door functions more like a glass wall.

11. A Sliding Door with a Mirror on the Inside

Sliding rooms with see-through glass are one of the most popular drawing room door designs in India.

Doors may be used for a variety of purposes as well! For example, if you don’t want to devote a significant portion of the room to a dresser, you may connect a mirror to the door or just go with a drawing room glass door design in India. This arrangement of drawing room open door design also gives the impression that the room is larger.

12. A Flush Door Design that has been Concealed

The concealed door is perfect for homeowners who need a drawing room door but don’t want to spoil the décor and look of the room

This drawing room entrance door design serves as a connecting door between two bedrooms. It is a flush door developed to seem similar to the TV unit on the other side of the wall so that it does not appear to be a door from the front or the side.

13. Mint Green Front Door for Urban Dwellings

In addition to designs, you may play around with other colour combinations for a drawing room. More than only carvings and designs may be seen on doors. To make a place more interesting, use a colour that is different from the others, such as this mint-green door with a silver handle. The uniqueness of this drawing room front door design is that the wall is also painted in the same colour door, which adds to its appeal.

14. A Sliding Door with a White Frame

For a large sliding door, it is important to decide the exact location of the door before it is purchased by the homeowner.

Glass sliding doors may add a touch of elegance to your living room. Is anyone interested in a bit of a living room with a view? For this application, drawing room double door designs are an excellent choice. Take inspiration from this door design and install sliding glass doors with a white frame that instead opens out to a balcony. With sliding glass door designs for the drawing room, you can add a touch of rustic appeal to any room.

15. White French Door Design for Large Drawing Room

It is best to determine whether the door should be hinged inwards or outwards before investing in a French door design for your drawing room.

The use of a French patio door is highly recommended if you wish to spend quality time in your backyard or garden. French doors are meant to bring light into your house, which is especially beneficial in low-light environments. To create an appealing appearance, they are constructed with glass panels placed in various designs. They are often used as exterior doors.

16. UPVC Door Designs

upvc door designs for drawing room
For UPVC doors, the homeowner must ensure that the door frame and hinges are of excellent quality so that the wind does not damage the door.

UPVC is a synthetic material that is environmentally friendly and well-known for its strength and aesthetic appeal. Doors manufactured by UPVC are in great demand because of their dust and water-resistant characteristics. You may also insert glass panels for incredible sight and ventilation in a simple UPVC frame for added convenience. This white-hinged door is an example of the latest drawing room door design that is excellent for both the inside and outside of your home.

17. Artistic Metal Overlay Doors

Artistic metal overlay doors feature decorative metalwork, offering both enhanced security and visual appeal by casting unique shadows when illuminated.

This unique drawing room wooden door design features intricate metal overlays on a solid base, offering a perfect blend of durability and artistry. The metal designs range from geometric to floral patterns, each intricately cut to create a mesmerising shadow play in your drawing room when light passes through. These doors not only enhance security but also serve as a striking design statement, ideal for modern homes that aim to combine high-end security with aesthetic elegance.

18. Colour-Blocked Pivot Doors

Colour-blocked pivot doors use a central pivot point for opening, allowing for larger and more visually striking door designs that can incorporate bold, contrasting colours to enhance modern interiors.

Bold and beautiful, this colour-blocked pivot wooden door design for a room makes a dramatic statement in any modern home. Utilising a pivot mechanism instead of traditional hinges, these doors rotate smoothly, making them suitable for wider and heavier designs. By combining contrasting colours, such as deep blues with vibrant oranges or classic black with stark white, these doors add a contemporary twist to any drawing room, ensuring it stands out both in style and functionality.

What are some good ideas for colouring drawing room doors?

The colour of a drawing room door can have a significant impact on the overall look and feel of the space. Here are some colour ideas for drawing room design doors to help inspire your next project.

  1. Bold Red:

A bold red door can add a pop of colour and excitement to any drawing room. This colour is perfect for those who want to make a statement and create a strong visual impact in their space. This door colour works well with a variety of design styles, including contemporary, traditional, and bohemian.

  1. Classic White:

A classic white door is a timeless and versatile choice that works well with any colour scheme or design style. This colour provides a clean and fresh look, making it a great option for drawing rooms that are smaller in size or that have limited natural light.

  1. Earthy Green:

An earthy green door can bring a natural and calming feeling to a drawing room. This colour works well with design styles that incorporate natural materials and textures, such as wood or stone.

  1. Navy Blue:

Navy blue is a classic and sophisticated colour that can add a touch of elegance to any drawing room. This colour works well with design styles that incorporate neutral tones or metallic accents, such as gold or silver.

  1. Vibrant Yellow:

A vibrant yellow door can add a cheerful and energetic vibe to a drawing room. This colour works well with design styles that incorporate bold patterns and bright colours, such as modern or eclectic styles.

Types of Materials Used for Room Doors:

In addition to the colour of the door, the material used for the door can have a significant impact on the overall look and functionality of the space. Here are some of the most common materials used for drawing room doors.

  1. Wood:

Wood is a classic and popular choice for drawing room doors. This material offers a warm and inviting look, and it is highly customizable in terms of style, colour, and design. However, wood doors can be prone to warping or rotting over time, and they may require regular maintenance to keep them looking their best.

  1. Glass:

Glass door designs for drawing room can add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any drawing room. A drawing room door design with glass allows natural light to flow through the space, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. However, a drawing room door design with glass may not provide as much privacy or security as other materials, and they may require more frequent cleaning to keep them looking their best.

  1. Steel:

Steel doors offer superior strength and durability, making them a popular choice for drawing rooms that require enhanced security or protection from the elements. This material is also highly customizable in terms of colour and design, and it can offer a modern and industrial look to a space.

PVC for drawing room gate design latest with new concepts and patterns can be a good choice for those who want a low-maintenance and durable option for their drawing room.

This material is lightweight and highly resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor or coastal spaces. Aluminium doors can also be highly customizable in terms of colour and design.

Factors to Consider While Choosing a Suitable Door for Drawing Room

Door size:

Always make sure that the dimensions and specs are accurate. If feasible, have an interior designer or a carpenter with extensive expertise measure the spaces.

Material for the door:

Choosing the appropriate material for the door is crucial. While wood is a beautiful and timeless material, it may be costly to maintain since it has to be polished regularly to look as good as new. On the other hand, metal doors are solid and long-lasting, but they may not be appealing to everyone. Other materials, like PVC and UPVC, are available in various appealing forms, but they are not exceptionally long-lasting.

Door upkeep:

Choosing a door that requires less maintenance is always the most practical option. The door must be capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions.

We hope the above-mentioned door designs have given you a general understanding of different door styles and specialities. Even though there are other different doors, these designs have been highlighted owing to their widespread appeal and popularity amongst Indian homeowners. If you are looking for a professional interior décor expert or a door vendor, you will surely find trusted options at Nobroker.

My daughter who is studying architecture in college came with me to the HSR center. She was quizzing the consultant about material sustainability—whether the plywood is from certified sources, if the laminates have low VOC emissions, what happens to waste material from the factory. The consultant handled every question and even pulled up their material certification documents. My daughter was impressed. She told me later: 'Appa, this company actually knows their supply chain, not just their design.' When a 20-year-old architecture student validates your choice, you know you've picked right.

Just finished the design phase with NoBroker interiors. I really appreciate the efforts done by our designer Sujendra Shetty. He helped and guided us in all designs we finalised. He was really patient while we took our time to finalise the designs and when we did material reselection. He was proffesional yet friendly and made the design phase smooth for us. We would be starting the production soon and I will update this review on project completion.

I am from Kadugodi and was looking for modular furniture solutions for our new apartment. The NoBroker Varthur experience center had an extensive display of TV units, shoe racks, foyer designs, and partition options. We visited the NoBroker Varthur center for our villa interior project in Sarjapur Road. The design team was fantastic in understanding our preference for a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. They showed us premium material options including solid wood, veneer, and high-gloss acrylic finishes. The TV unit and crockery unit designs on display were stunning. Highly recommended for villa owners!

Specifically writing about the false ceiling consultation at the center. I didnt know there was so much to know about ceilings! The designer showed us different options—gypsum board, POP, wooden grid, MDF panels—and explained which works best for which room. The living room got a peripheral cove lighting design with warm LEDs, the bedroom got a simple recessed light plan (she said elaborate ceilings in bedrooms can feel oppressive when your lying down, which makes total sense), and the kids room got a small starlight panel. She also planned all the AC routing, curtain pelmet concealment, and speaker cable channels inside the false ceiling so nothing is visible. The ceiling alone transformed how our rooms feel. Also, their false ceiling pricing per sq ft was pretty competitive—I had checked with two separate contractors before.

This review is from a couple who fights about everything haha. I wanted dark colors and modern look, my husband wanted light wood and earthy tones. The designer at Varthur center literally played mediator. She showed us a concept where the common areas (living room, kitchen) use light wooden textures that my husband likes, and the master bedroom uses the darker charcoal tones that I prefer. The kids room got a neutral palette with colorful accents. Everyone happy. She called it 'transitional design' where different zones have different personalities but connected by a common accent color (we chose teal). The 3D walkthrough she made showed exactly how it all flows together. I showed it to 3 friends and they all said it looks like something out of Architectural Digest. OK maybe I'm exaggerating a little but you get the point. We both love it.

We are from Thanisandra and visited the center for our villa interior project. The designer adapted her approach for a larger independent house—didn't just scale up apartment designs. She proposed separate design personalities for ground floor (where guests are entertained—formal, elegant) and first floor (private family spaces—warm, casual). The staircase got under-staircase pull-out storage that holds 30 pairs of shoes. The double-height living room got a dramatic false ceiling with a chandelier recess. The master bedroom got a walk-in closet design instead of a regular wardrobe. Villa interiors need different thinking than apartment interiors and this team clearly has experience with both formats.

I had a great experience with NoBroker Interiors at the HRBR Experience Centre. The entire process was smooth and well-managed. Pradnyan (Designer) did an excellent job in understanding our requirements and providing thoughtful design solutions. Unnav from Sales was very supportive and ensured everything was clearly explained and well-coordinated throughout the process. Hetal also gave a detailed explanation, making it easy for us to understand every aspect. Overall, the team was professional, responsive, and helpful. Looking forward to moving ahead with them!

Something specific about the Horamavu team that I havent seen mentioned in other reviews—they offer a FREE pre-site-assessment before giving you any quotation. An engineer visits your apartment, checks wall conditions for dampness, verifies electrical point locations, measures ceiling height variations (builder flats often have slightly uneven ceilings), checks floor levelness, and documents any structural elements like beams and pillars that affect furniture placement. All this BEFORE you pay a single rupee. This assessment report then becomes the foundation for an accurate design and quotation. Other companies quote based on a floor plan drawing alone without ever seeing the actual site conditions. That's like prescribing medicine without examining the patient.

I am delighted to write this review after completing my VILA interior through NO BROKER Team The production and execution team is very professional and customer friendly in accommodating and matching with our requirements and our dreams of what we want to have it in our home. If I can mention the name then it is certainly Mr. Harsha, Mr. Munish and Mr. Suhail will take away entire credit for the final output This team is far better than their in-house design team who doesn't know much about practical application of what they or could do using a software. They need more experience particularly using the wood and material selection along with final finish with light fittings. Even though there was a mismatch and less expectation from NO BROKER certain team members, The above mentioned team members pulled it together and gave the best satisfactory finish

We visited for our complete 4BHK project and what impressed me most was the COORDINATION. NoBroker didnt just handle the modular furniture—they coordinated with our painter for color matching, our electrician for additional power points needed for built-in appliances and wardrobe USB charging, and our AC contractor for duct routing through the false ceiling. They provided a detailed coordination document to each vendor listing exactly what pre-work needs to happen before their installation begins. This vendor coordination is usually a NIGHTMARE—the typical situation is each vendor blaming the other for delays. Having one team that manages all the interfaces is incredibly valuable.

As a working professional with limited time to manage contractors, the project management aspect is what attracted me. Visited the center with a Pinterest board of 47 saved kitchen images. The consultant didn’t get overwhelmed. She patiently went through each one, identified common elements I was drawn to (handleless cabinets, wooden textures, open shelving), and created a unified design that captured the essence of all those pins. She basically translated my chaotic Pinterest board into a cohesive design. Overall we are very satisfied with the entire experience from start to finish.
