Hi Parag. I too, faced the problem of the inverter not charging battery a while ago. After calling an electrician, I found out that the rectifiers in the inverter were burnt. Apart from this, there are several other reasons behind the inability of the inverter to charge. I’ll tell you about those.
Why Inverter is Not Charging?
Rectifiers get burnt due to overuse or high heat. This leads to the non-charging of the inverter battery immediately.
Another reason is the tripping of the inverter. When the appliances use up excessive power under the inverter load, it will lead to the inverter turning off.
When the battery terminals of the inverter get corroded because of moisture, the charging can be affected.
Loose connections or no connections of the battery to the inverter can be the cause, too. So, check the connections and switch on the charging to see if it works now.
