1 mm laminate will be best to choose for the wardrobe be it inside or outside. You can also go for 0.8 mm. I will suggest you ask your carpenter about it and tell him what kind of sunmica you want. Not all type of sunmicas is of the same price so better choose one first and then decide its thickness.
