I believe in Vastu Shastra and do almost everything according to Vastu. I was planning to purchase an almirah and asked my Uncle about the almirah position as per Vastu. My uncle is a Vastu expert and told me that Southwest is the best direction, but there are other directions. 

What Is The Place Of Almirah According To Vastu?

According to my uncle, Southwest is the best direction but there is another direction where I can keep almirah and that is West. He told me that if I cannot place the Almirah in the Southwest direction, then I can put it in the West direction as it is related to creativity and inspiration. Putting the Almirah there can bring balance and harmony to the lives of the occupants.  After that uncle also told me about the directions in which Almirah shouldn’t be kept at all. 
  • Northeast Or East: 
According to my uncle, the almirah shouldn’t be placed in the Northeast and East directions. This is because these direction are considered to be sacred as they represent the energy of spiritual growth and new beginnings. These areas should be kept clutter-free and open. 
  • Centre:
He also said that the centre of the house should be kept empty for a balanced flow of energy through the house. The centre is also known as Brahmasthan. 
  • North:
Uncle mentioned that the North direction for the position of Almirah as per Vastu, is not suitable at all. This direction is related to wealth and abundance, and placing an Almirah in that direction can block the flow of money and opportunities.  And that is what my uncle told me about the Almirah position as per Vastu.
