Every element in your house has a significance according to vastu. Be it your furniture or decor, it all is synced with vastu shastra. If we talk about mirrors, there are many vastu observations around them. In this answer, you will find mirror position in bedroom as per vastu, what should be the placement of mirror in bedroom as per vastu and much more. Mirror Position as per Vastu in Bedroom If mirrors are wrongly placed in your bedroom it can be more harmful than good. Here are a few tips about position of mirror in bedroom according to vastu shastra:
  • Do not place two mirrors opposite to each other. It will attract negativity and people of the house may develop negative feelings.
  • Mirror should be four to five feet above the ground.
  • Do not place a mirror in front of your bed, it attracts ill health. Your body parts should not be exposed to mirror while sleeping
  • According to vastu a square or a rectangular mirror is considered auspicious
  • A mirror should reflect beautiful view outside the window as that brings positive energy into the home
  • You can place a mirror in front of your cash locker to double up prosperity
  • A mirror in your bathroom should be at a well lit space on north eastern wall
  • Cover up mirror in your bedroom before sleeping
  • If you have a television in your bedroom in front of the bed then cover it up as well since it also reflects.
I hope all of these tips are helpful to understand mirror position in bedroom as per vastu.
I knew nothing about Vastu placements, so I placed my mirror in my bedroom entirely on the aesthetics. Only when my mother came to visit me in Bangalore, she noticed the wrong mirror placement in bedroom as per Vastu. She told me that as per Vastu it is usually not advised to keep a mirror in the bedroom. But since I was quite persistent and I had no other space to keep my large mirror, she gave me a few tips which I think you should be aware of if you too want to keep your mirror in your bedroom.

What Should be the Mirror Direction as per Vastu in Bedroom?

My mother told me that mirrors in a bedroom or any room should be placed on the north wall or the north east wall in order to attract positive energy.
  • Vastu says that placing a mirror in this custom-made dressing space is preferable to having it next to the bed.
  • Maintaining the mirror in the dressing area helps us stay away from sunshine, diagonal mirrors, and reflections can bring negativity into our rooms.
  • Mirrors in the shapes of rectangles and squares have geometric symmetry and are cleanly etched, creating a peaceful, happy atmosphere in bedrooms. So, we should have a rectangular or square shaped mirror in bedroom.
  • Our bedroom mirror should be framed or hidden behind a wardrobe; it should never reflect sunlight directly.
  • Mirrors that are broken or rusted, ancient, or both, can be depressing and can cause drowsiness. Therefore, by all means, we should stay away from using broken mirrors in our bedroom.
  • And lastly, we should refrain from putting the bedroom mirror right next to the door.
This is all my mother taught me about mirror location in bedroom as per Vastu. I hope it helps you. Design Your Home as per Vastu Compliance With NoBroker Interior Design Service. Read More: What is the Vastu Remedy for Mirror on South Wall?
