Hi, My AC wasn’t cooling properly, and I thought that it might need some servicing. So, I contacted an AC service technician. After arriving and inspecting my AC, the technician told me that the condenser of the AC needed to be replaced. I asked him about the cost of replacing condenser in AC. He said it would cost me somewhere around Rs. 4,269. 

What is The Cost of Replacing a Condenser on an Air Conditioner?

After he told me about the amount, he informed me that the spare parts price was separate from the AC repair cost of Rs 269. Here is the cost mentioned by him.

Copper Coil Condensor 1 Ton Split 3500
Copper Coil Condensor 1.5 Ton Split 4000
Copper Coil Condensor 2 Ton Split 4500
The technician told me that my AC was a 1.5-ton split AC and the cost to replace AC condenser coil would be the price of service and the spare part.  After replacing the condenser, he gave me some tips for maintaining the AC properly. 
  • He told me that to avoid the cost to replace an AC condenser, timely servicing of AC is essential. 
  • As my condenser coil is outside, he told me to keep the area around the coil clean and free of foliage. 
  • According to him, regularly checking on the outdoor unit is very necessary.
