So I opted for the 10th of September to shift. As not only was it auspicious but also it was on a weekday. My goal is to avoid weekends. That’s when everyone’s moving, and it makes things hectic and more expensive. I found that weekdays, especially midweek (Tuesday to Thursday), worked best. Movers were available, and they weren’t in a rush, which made my shifting experience a lot easier.

My tip for all is that you should consider  avoiding public holidays, because roads can be more crowded and movers might charge extra. In my experience, picking a day in the middle of the month, midweek, really made a difference. It was calm, affordable, and I didn’t feel like I was fighting for moving trucks. Like months, days are also auspicious and inauspicious. Thursday is the most auspicious day for entering a new home. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are also good days for performing auspicious works like Griha Pravesh or housewarming.

According to the Hindu Calendar, Dwitiya, Tritiya, Panchami, Saptami, Dashami, Ekadashi, and Troydashi are very auspicious days for moving into a new home.
