I have installed maple wood flooring in my home, and from my experience, I can share a few maple flooring pros and cons with you. Although it is accessible in India and is a popular flooring option due to its durability and beauty, maple flooring is not as popular as other flooring options like granite or marble.

What are the Maple Wood Flooring Pros and Cons?

Pros

  1. Maple comes in a range of colours, including beige, grey, red, and brown, and has a lovely, cosy appearance.

  2. It has a clean, European appearance due to its mild, constant grain.

  3. Being among the toughest woods, it's perfect for places with high traffic.

  4. It is dust-resistant, and is simple to clean.

Cons

  1. Maple wood is extremely expensive in the Indian market. The price of Maple solid wooden flooring can start from Rs. 400 INR/Square Foot.

  2. Because of its smooth surface and light colour, maple makes dents and scratches more noticeable.

  3. Heat and humidity can cause it to warp or shrink.

  4. Its tight grain makes staining difficult, and exposure to sunshine causes it to turn yellow over time.

I hope this was informative.
