Durability and moisture resistance are important considerations when selecting flooring for a bathroom. Recently, I renovated my bathroom flooring, and installed Vinyl flooring. I was confused between which one to choose: laminate or vinyl flooring for bathroom? Ultimately, I went for vinyl flooring since it's warm underfoot, long-lasting, moisture-resistant, and simple to clean and maintain. If you want a floor that can withstand wear and tear in places that see a lot of traffic, choose vinyl flooring for the kitchen or bathroom.
Which One to Choose: Laminate or Vinyl for Bathroom?
If you ask me, I’d ask you to choose Vinyl flooring. This is because:
It is completely waterproof, it is perfect for places that are subjected to a lot of dampness and spills.
It is because they look like real wood or stone and are simple to install, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) are popular choices.
Additionally, they are comfortable to walk on and non-slip.
On the other hand, despite being reasonably priced, laminate flooring is merely water-resistant, not waterproof. Warping or swelling may result from water seeping into the seams.
Hence, it is best if you choose high-quality vinyl with an anti slip surface for added safety.
