What is apartment?

The ‘apartment’ is nothing but an American term for a flat. It is any residential unit inside a building. The building can be a house, townhouse, large residential building, and even condominium high-rise where owners sublet their units. In India, you can find houses as apartments majorly in cities and urban areas. If you move towards the town and village area, people prefer building their independent houses. The main reason why cities have more apartments is that there is very less availability of land and the demand for property is high. Both, apartments as well as independent houses have their own perks. For example, you can have your privacy if you own an independent house. While for an apartment, you get to connect with people and stay in close touch with your neighbours.
