Earlier there was the rule that a person winning the MHADA lottery cannot rent his flat for five years. But now the government has relaxed this rule. You can now rent your flat after purchasing a house from the MHADA lottery. The government said the rent will help increase revenue through stamp duty and registration fee. You need to provide a copy of the L&L agreement to Mhada before renting your property.
