Refuge area : In high rise buildings, there is a specific space allotted where residents can take shelter in case of fire or any other emergency. This area can be deemed as an ‘emergency shelter area’ when evacuation is not possible.

ऊंची इमारतों में, एक विशिष्ट स्थान आवंटित किया जाता है जहां निवासी आग या किसी अन्य आपात स्थिति के मामले में आश्रय ले सकते हैं। जब निकासी संभव न हो तो इस क्षेत्र को 'आपातकालीन आश्रय क्षेत्र' माना जा सकता है।
