Here’s how to verify e extract khata document online,
Go to the Karnataka Land Records Portal (
https://www.landrecords.karnataka.gov.in/service2/RTC.aspx). This is the government site for all land records including Khata Extracts. On the homepage, click “View Khata Extract” or similar service under land/Khata records.
You can search either by Khata Number or Survey Number. Also fill in District → Taluk → Hobli/Town → Village.
Hit Get Report / Search. The portal will display details such as property owner name, area, address, Khata number, and current status.
Match the owner name, survey number, and location exactly with your sale deed or latest RTC.
A genuine Khata file should align with your legal documents. If everything matches, download the PDF or take a screenshot for official use. An e-Khata (or Khata Extract) is the official land tax and property ownership record maintained by Karnataka’s Revenue or Municipal authorities. While the sale deed is the legal proof of ownership, the online Khata/Khata Extract shows property details recorded for tax assessment & civic use.
