Bleaching powder is a great cleaning agent. It will not only help you get rid of the dirt but also kill the germs. But be very careful while using it. I once mistakenly poured the bleach and water solution on my hand and, for a long time, had severe irritation. You have to know how to use bleaching powder in bathroom for different kinds of stains and dirt. Since I have become quite a pro at it, I can share some methods. You can take a look at my methods and execute them.

The ratio of bleaching powder to solution varies with the kind of dirt or stain you are dealing with. All you will need to do is

  • Pour the solution

  • Let it sit for 15 to 20mins minutes

  • Scrub the surface

  • Wash it twice with clean water

Here is a chart to help you know what stain/area needs what amount of bleaching powder consistency in water

Hi Jaya. I know how to use bleaching powder for cleaning bathroom. I recently started using bleaching powder to clean my bathroom and have a good method to make a solution with the powder. I use it for the toilet and the other areas of the bathroom. I will tell you how to make the solution, along with the steps to clean the space.

How to Use Bleaching Powder for Bathroom Cleaning?

Here is how you can use bleaching powder for your toilet:

  1. Make a solution using the bleaching powder first.

  2. Mix 1 tablespoon bleach with about 4 litres of hot water.

  3. Transfer this mix into a spray bottle.

  4. Begin to clean the outside bowl and handle using a few sprays of the solution.

  5. Wipe the toilet’s surface clean using a paper towel or clean rag.

  6. To clean the inside of the bowl, spray the bleach solution into the toilet around the rim and scrub it with a toilet brush.

  7. Let it sit for about 5 minutes after you flush.

This is all from my end. I hope you now know how to use bleaching powder for bathroom.

Our bathroom tiles looked stained and filthy. I wanted to clean the entire bathroom but there were so many DIY methods online that I got confused which one to follow. Then, my mother-in-law suggested using bleaching powder to clean the tiles as it’s an ideal solution to remove rigid stains. I didn’t know how to clean bathroom with bleaching powder so I asked the same to my mother-in-law who explained to me the process.

How to Use Bleaching Powder to Clean Bathroom?

She explained to me some steps to follow on

how to clean bathroom tiles with bleaching powder

. I am sharing the same below.

  • Mix equal parts of bleach and water thoroughly to create a bleach solution.

  • Use a sprayer to apply the solution on the tiles.

  • Let it sit for 15 minutes.

  • Finally, rinse off the floor.

My mother-in-law also shared some other benefits of using a bleach solution that I am sharing below for your reference.

  • Bleaching powder works perfect for stain removal and cloth whitening.

  • Ideal for removing stains from fabrics and other surfaces.

  • Mostly used for bathroom, toilet, kitchen floor, and basin.

  • Acts as a disinfectant to remove germs from water.

If there are rigid stains on your bathroom floor, consider scrubbing the tiles after you spray the bleach solution. For tougher stains, let the solution sit for a few minutes before you start scrubbing. You can use a toothbrush or a bristle brush to scrub the floor.

I hope this gives you some idea on

Bleaching powder is very effective for cleaning floors, as it helps disinfect and remove stains. However, you must know how to use bleaching powder for cleaning floor properly. Too little bleaching powder won’t be effective and too much of it can damage the floor.

How to Use Bleaching Powder for Cleaning Bathroom?

I learned how to use bleach to clean bathroom tiles from my mother. Here is how to use it:

  • Prepare the solution:

Add 1 tablespoon of bleaching powder to 1 gallon of water. Mix it thoroughly in a bucket, and make sure it's properly diluted to avoid damaging the floor or leaving behind residue.

  • Clear the area:

Remove any obstacles or furniture from the floor for easy cleaning. Sweep or vacuum the surface to remove the loose dirt and debris.

  • Apply the solution:

Dip a mop or cloth into the diluted bleach solution. Start from one corner and work systematically across the floor, ensuring even coverage of the solution all across the floor.

  • Let it sit:

Allow the bleach solution to sit on the floor for a few minutes to effectively disinfect and bleach stains.

  • Rinse and dry:

After the allotted time, rinse the floor thoroughly with clean water to remove any residual bleach. Mop up excess water and allow the floor to air dry completely before re-entering the area, ensuring proper ventilation to dissipate any lingering bleach odours.

This is also can bleaching powder clean bathroom tiles. Just instead of on the floor, spray the solution on the tiles. So this is how can we use bleaching powder to clean bathroom or tiles.
