So Grisha, I know and can tell you how to clean bathroom plastic buckets. For regular dirt and grime, just hot water with a bit of dish soap is enough. But if you've got stubborn stains or that yellow discoloration that comes from soap scum and hard water buildup, here's what works:

  1.  Make a paste of baking soda with a little lemon juice.

  2. Apply this paste on your bucket, let it sit for about 30 minutes, then scrub gently with a soft cloth or sponge. The abrasive texture of baking soda lifts the stains without damaging the plastic.

  3. For really tough calcium deposits or discoloration from food or paint, you can soak the bucket in a vinegar-water solution for the same 30 minutes, then scrub. If the smell is the problem, dissolve four tablespoons of baking soda in warm water, let it sit overnight, and that should kill any lingering odor.

Ensure you rinse right after use so gunk doesn't stick to the plastic permanently. Use a soft sponge, not steel wool, because abrasive pads can scratch the plastic. Also, air dry in sunlight when possible, it helps with both freshness and discoloration.

Hey, I clean the plastic buckets in my bathroom every 15 days. Here is the process I follow and you can too, to understand how to clean bathroom plastic buckets:

  1. Begin by soaking a cloth in vinegar and wiping the inside of the bucket to loosen mineral deposits along with stains.

  2. After this, sprinkle baking soda over the surface of the bucket, which is already soaked in vinegar.

  3. Let this rest for like 15 to 20 minutes, letting the reaction help break down grime.

  4. After this, scrub the bucket using a sponge or brush. You can use an old toothbrush to help reach difficult corners of the bucket. You can then rinse with water and wipe dry.

  5. Once you are done with all of this, take dishwashing liquid and mix it with water to create a cleaning solution. Use this for a final wash of your plastic buckets.

  6. Ensure you aren’t using any abrasive scrubbers that may scratch the plastic and regular cleaning every 15 to 20 days will help keep your bucket clean and hygienic. The process of cleaning will also become easier with regular following this method.

This is all from my end. Hope this will be helpful for you.
