Here are the steps I followed to turn on my split AC.

• I took a stool, stood on it, and kept it under the air conditioner. 

• I then searched for the panel with the buttons on my split air conditioner's interior unit.

• The power button with the "on/off" sign was there. I finally pressed it and it turned on the air conditioner.
