Hi there. I came across you asking how to clean tape glue from glass. I have faced this situation a couple of times before. I once used oil and peanut butter and it worked very well. But I also have two more options that you can find below.

How to get Tape Glue off Glass?

  1. I suggest you first try the oil method. It is safe and easy to use. Get some olive oil, vegetable oil, or even peanut butter. Rub it onto the residue and let it sit for about 10–15 minutes. The fats in the oil soften the glue, making it easy to wipe away with a paper towel.

  2. If the tape is being stubborn, use Heat. Grab a hair dryer and blast the spot for a minute. The warmth melts the adhesive. While it’s still warm, gently scrape it with an old credit card or a plastic scraper. Just avoid using metal blades if you can as they can scratch the glass if you aren't careful.

  3. See if the tape is really stuck onto the glass and won’t go no matter how hard you try. Rubbing alcohol and acetone, which is nail polish remover, is what I would try. Soak a cotton ball, press it against the residue for a minute, and watch the glue dissolve. But yes, if your glass has a tinted film, don’t use chemicals and stick to oil.

I hope these methods will help you.
