Here are some of my tried and tested ways to get rid of permanent markers from a wooden surface.
- Nail Polish Remover:
You can grab a nail polish remover and apply it over the area to remove permanent markers from the wood. Remember to do this with a remover that is acetone-based. Also, do not scrub it with a lot of force, as this could cause damage to the topmost surface of the wooden material.
- Hand Sanitiser:
The next tool you can use to treat permanent marker marks is alcohol-based hand sanitiser. This is another useful method to remove permanent markers from a wooden object. You need to drop a little bit of the sanitiser and then clean the surface with the help of a soft cloth. This will do the job for you.
- Rubbing Alcohol:
The last item that I have for you to get rid of tough permanent marker stains is rubbing alcohol. Take a cotton cloth and put a bit of isopropyl alcohol on it. Then, dab the cloth gently over the affected area. Then, use a wet cloth to wipe away any traces of the marker.
