Oil stains can be troublesome to clean. I have faced this issue several times, but I recently came across a few methods online and it has made the task easier. So, instead of scrubbing the walls with cloth or simply using soapy water, you may use other methods I am going to mention. So, keep reading to find out how to remove oil stains from kitchen wall.

How to Get Rid of Oil Stains on Kitchen Walls?

I see Debjani mentioning the use of vinegar and baking soda, and I thoroughly agree with her. However, I have a different procedure that I use whenever I get my walls stained with oil.

  1. For daily cleaning, I use a normal detergent soap solution. Sometimes, I add a few drops of lemon, which work as a great chemical. You can also simply squeeze the lemon on the surface and gently wipe with a damp cloth.

  2. Secondly, if the stains are a little tough, like Debjani, I also use baking soda paste and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, I clean the wall with water.

  3. Another great way to remove oil stains is using ammonia. Last time when I got rigid stains on the walls, I tried an ammonia solution. You just have to mix two cups of ammonia with water, spray over the stain, and scrub it off. Make sure the place is ventilated enough and wear protective gloves, too.

That’s how I usually clean my kitchen walls. You can also try a vinegar solution, which is again a great way to remove excessive oil from the walls.

I hope this gives you some understanding of how to remove oil stains from kitchen walls.

I can share with you three methods on how to remove oil stains from kitchen wall. You can use baking soda paste, vinegar solution or dish soap and warm water solution. I go for the baking soda paste if the stains are too hard. If it's not, the other two methods are enough for cleaning the stained walls. Learn about these three processes next.

How to Remove Oil Stains from Kitchen Wall at Home?

Here are my suggestions on how to remove oil from the kitchen walls at home with daily used items:

Baking Soda Paste:

Create a paste using equal parts baking soda and water. Then apply the paste directly to the oil stain and gently scrub with a soft cloth or sponge. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before wiping it off with a damp cloth and get rid of the stains easily.

Vinegar Solution:

Mix one part white vinegar with two parts water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution on the oil stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Wipe the area with a clean cloth or sponge. This is very effective in cleaning the walls as well as making them germ-free.

Dish Soap and Warm Water:

Combine a few drops of dish soap with warm water in a bowl. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the soapy water and gently scrub the oil stain. Rinse the area with clean water and wipe dry. Dish soap is designed to cut through grease, is safe for most painted surfaces and is really effective in removing the stains completely.

So these are some effective solutions on how to remove oil from kitchen wall. You can use some market-bought cleaning solutions as well but make sure they do not damage the walls.
