TRACES provides citizens to register TAN. To register TAN number, you need to visit the www.TDScpc.gov.in.
Let us learn how to register TAN on income tax site by following a step by step guide.
Visit the home page of TRACES.
www.TDScpc.gov.in.
Tap on 'Continue'.
Tap on 'Register as a New User' and choose ' Deductor' below the user type icon.
Provide your TAN and enter the Captcha.
You can select a communication address according to TAN master and you must fill in options such as mobile number, email ID, etc., accordingly.
The form type, financial year, and KYC quarter will be auto-populated and you can manually upload the token number from the regular statement.
Enter the organisation details of the deductor such as PAN, deductor category, DOB of the authorised person, etc. PAN information may not be mandatory for government deductors.
As a deductor, you can create a user ID and password.
During the confirmation screen the deductor can edit the information before tapping on 'Confirm' to get registered on the TRACES income tax website.
You can get an activation code on your email and mobile number. The information regarding registration will be shared within 48 hours of providing the details.
