Hello Medha. We chose adhesive vinyl flooring, which is alos known as glue-down vinyl plank flooring. It is easier to install and we did that on our own. So, I will be able to give you a hand with installing vinyl flooring on concrete. You first need to prepare the flooring. If you have baseboards installed, remove them first using a pry bar. I will share the next steps below.
Vinyl Flooring Over Concrete
Here is how you can apply glue-down vinyl plan flooring over a concrete floor:
Clean the concrete floor well to remove dirt, dust and any other unwanted particles.Ensure the concrete is level and there are no uneven regions.
You will have to measure the flooring to ensure the size of the plank matches it. You can then trim the plank to give a clean finish from start till the end.
Spread flooring adhesive onto the subfloor with a trowel.
Allow the adhesive to set just long enough that it’s tacky but is yet to dry completely. It should still be slightly visible.
Begin to lay down your vinyl planks.
Use a floor roller yo fully bond the vinyl flooring to the adhesive once all the boards have been placed.
That is all you need to do. I hope this helps.

How to Install Vinyl Flooring on Concrete Basement?
Embracing the challenge, I gathered the necessary tools and materials: vinyl planks, underlayment, adhesive, a utility knife, a measuring tape, and a rubber mallet. The concrete floor awaited its transformation.
I began vinyl plank flooring installation on concrete by meticulously cleaning the concrete surface, removing any debris or dust that could hinder the adhesion of the vinyl planks. I then meticulously laid down the underlayment, ensuring a smooth and even base for the flooring.
With precision, I measured and cut the vinyl planks to fit the dimensions of the room. I carefully applied adhesive to the concrete, following the manufacturer's instructions, and meticulously placed each plank, gently tapping them into place with the rubber mallet.
As the planks interlocked, a sense of accomplishment filled the air. I admired the transformation, the once cold concrete now exuding warmth and inviting comfort.
Once the installation was complete, I allowed the adhesive to cure fully, ensuring a strong bond between the planks and the concrete. I then meticulously inspected the flooring, ensuring no gaps or imperfections marred the surface.
