Tighten loose screws:

 

If the issue is loose screws, locate the screws that secure the seat to the toilet bowl. Use a screwdriver to tighten them by turning them clockwise. Make sure not to overtighten, as it may cause damage.

Replace broken hinges next: 

If the hinges are broken or damaged, you may need to replace them. Check the type of hinges your toilet seat has (e.g., top-mount or bottom-mount) and purchase suitable replacement hinges from a hardware store. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installing the new hinges, which typically involve removing the old ones and attaching the new hinges using screws.

Repair or replace the seat: 

If the seat itself is cracked or damaged, you may need to repair or replace it. If the damage is minor, you can consider using a repair kit designed for toilet seat repairs. These kits often include epoxy or adhesive to fix cracks. If the damage is extensive or irreparable, you will need to purchase a new toilet seat. Make sure to choose a seat that matches the shape and size of your toilet bowl. If you feel you cannot do it yourself, please seek an expert’s aid.

Install the repaired or new seat: 

Once you have fixed or replaced the necessary components, position the seat on the toilet bowl. Align the holes in the seat with the holes in the bowl. Insert the screws provided with the seat or use the existing screws if they are still in good condition. Tighten the screws securely, but again, be cautious not to overtighten.

Testing whether it is done or not: 

Lastly, gently test the seat to ensure it is securely attached and does not wobble. Sit on the seat and check for any movement or instability. If necessary, make further adjustments or tighten the screws.

Step 6. Put the new toilet cover in place. Place the toilet seat securely into the two screws on the toilet seat, lid on. Verify that there are no spaces between the toilet seat and the seat fasteners and that they are firmly in place. Now if someone asks you, can a cracked toilet seat be repaired, you know what to say.
