Hello,I use window blinds to maintain privacy and filter natural light. One time a slat on the vertical blind broke because my nephews were grabbing it too tightly. That’s when I called the NoBroker Home Service Professionals to get it fixed. How to fix a broken slat on a vertical blind:
At the ripped-off slat’s top, you’ll find a slot that goes in a clip for fastening it to the headrail.
Just flip the blind upside down and make a hole through the other end.
After that, hang it back up.
A paperclip or sturdy tape can also be used to fix the broken slot and put the blind back into the headrail.
In my house, I have two pets. They had, quite unintentionally, opened the closed blinds to have a peek outdoors last week. As a result, my blinds cracked and thus I googled how to fix blinds for windows and discovered five simple procedures. These include taking out plugs, tugging on a string, and removing and replacing the broken slats with new ones. For your reference, I have included a thorough process for fixing the blinds below.
How to Attach Blinds to a Window?
I have followed the methods listed below to cover my house windows with blinds. It is surprisingly inexpensive and quite simple to install on the window.
I started by removing the pair of plugs that were available at the bottom of my blind with a flathead screwdriver. It basically keeps and hides the lift strings or the thicker center string.
I loosened the knot by pulling the string through the opening. Then, I took the lift string off.
I then removed the broken slat and replaced it with the new one. I made sure the lift string went through the slats in the same direction when I rethread it.
I pulled the string through the base once more and knotted off each side to ensure that they were equal in length.
I replaced the plugs and tightened them with a hammer or rubber mallet.
