Taps are one of the most used accessories in the bathrooms, and because of this, they get dirty pretty quickly. Cleaning them every day is one option, but most of us don’t have the energy to do that daily. I have faced this issue a lot of times and have discovered a few straightforward solutions to cleaning them easily. Here is how to descale bathroom taps without hassle.

What is the Process of Descaling Bathroom Taps?

Over the years, I have come across several solutions that you can also try to clean your bathroom taps. I have mentioned three of my favourites below.

Solution 1: Using Lemon

Lemon is acidic in nature, and it can easily descale taps. To descale taps, you can cut a lemon in half. After that, squeeze some lemon juice over the descaled area. Leave it for a few minutes, and then scrub it with a toothbrush. This should remove the descaling from the taps.

Solution 2: Baking Soda

I found baking soda to be the easiest. Take an old toothbrush and add some baking soda and water to it. Use that to scrub the stains, and that’s it.

Solution 3: Dish Soap

Mix some dish soap and warm water in a bowl. Dip an old cloth in the mixture and run it over the tap. After that, use a dry towel to buff the tap until it's clean.

These are some ways I tried to descale my bathroom taps, and it worked. I hope you find this helpful.

How to Clean Bathroom Taps with Vinegar?

Daily cleaning of the faucets in the bathroom may make them appear shining, bright, and lovely. But as we have a tendency to overlook these small details, water stains start to grow on the faucets. I have personally experienced this issue in the past, and I have found some effective solutions on how to descale bathroom taps.

How to descale bathroom faucet?

It's important to regularly descale bathroom faucets to maintain the water flowing freely and to avoid mineral buildup. Let’s check out the best hacks for descaling the taps below:

  • Shut the tap's water supply. This is usually accomplished by finding the shut-off valve beneath the washbasin or by turning off the main water supply to the house.

  • To take out the aerator from the faucet's edge, utilise a wrench or pliers.

  • To remove any mineral buildup, submerge the aerator in a solution of vinegar and water for a minimum of 30 minutes.

  • Use a small brush to clean the aerator to get rid of any leftover buildup. Keep doing this until the deposit is totally gone.

  • Have a microfiber towel to dry the tap. Move back and forth or in a gentle circle.

  • The aerator should then be properly rinsed with water before being reattached to the tap.

You can maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and absence of mineral deposits on your bathroom taps by adding these basic procedures into your regular routine. I hope you found this hack helpful.
