Hi, I don't know what state you live in but I will share the process for the electricity bill complaint. Each month, every household receives an electricity bill. Sometimes, there are some errors in the bill itself. It may have the wrong address, spelling error of your name or high electricity bill complaint, etc. To solve all these problems read my answer below. How to complaint for wrong electricity bill?
  • Application
The first and foremost step is lodging a formal complaint with the local electricity board. Write an application to the local electricity board mentioning the details of the problem. Mention Personal details including name, address, previous electricity bill number, etc. Do remember to mention detail pertaining to the electricity bill complaint.
  •  Consumer Court
If the issue about the wrong electricity bill has not been resolved by the local electricity board. You can file a complaint in consumer court. You can consult a lawyer about your complaint. Draft a consumer complaint talking about the problem. Remember to mention details of steps previously taken to resolve the issue.
  • Customer Care : 1912
The government of India has allocated the number 1912 to Electricity call centers. These call centers handle customer complaints and more. The call center registers complaints of the individual and forwards them to the field personnel in charge. Mention details about your problem for it to be resolved.   • Navigate to the "Complaint Registration" tab.
  • Enter your cell number, landmark, city or village, and the consumer number (12-digit code on the electricity bill).
  • Choose the "Complaint" service request type from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose the 'High Bill' service request sub-type from the drop-down menu.
  • Specify the request here.
  • On the submit button, click.
  • Please keep the "Request ID" on hand for future use.
You can also follow up on the status of your request or make additional inquiries by writing to MAHADISCOM's customer service department at customercare@mahadiscom.in or calling their toll-free numbers: 1912, 19120, 1800-102-3435, or 1800-233-3435.
