Summary
To clean quartzite countertops naturally, use mild methods to avoid damage. For regular cleaning, mix warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap, wipe with a microfiber cloth, rinse, and dry. For stains, make a paste of baking soda with water or a few drops of lemon juice, apply to the stain, let it sit, then gently scrub and wipe clean. Avoid acidic or harsh cleaners to preserve the stone’s shine.

A month ago, when I moved into my new rental apartment, I was so happy with my sleek quartzite kitchen countertop. It looked like a natural stone. But the main problem was that I didn’t know how to clean quartzite countertops naturally. So, I researched it and found that baking soda with a bowl of warm water is an effective hack for cleaning quartz countertops. I have shared the detailed steps below.

How to Remove Stains from Quartzite Countertops?

  1. Fill the bowl with warm water and add a little baking soda.

  2. Mix them with a spatula.

  3. Increase the amount of baking soda until the mixture turns into a paste.

  4. Now, cover the affected area with a thick layer of the baking soda paste.

  5. Cover the baking soda paste with a piece of plastic wrap.

  6. Give it a day or two to settle.

  7. After that, use the plastic scraper to scrape off the poultice.

  8. Finally, wash the countertop with warm water, and pat it dry with a soft, dry cloth.

It worked for me. I hope you found this hack helpful.

Venkat’s suggestion on how to clean quartzite countertops is truly useful but I find using baking soda and lemon juice to be more effective. Yes, lemon juice can stain your countertop so you better use a smaller quantity. I sprinkle baking soda and then spray lemon juice on my quartzite countertop to clean it and it works perfectly. So here is how I do the cleaning.

How to Remove Stain from Quartzite Countertop?

To remove the stain from the quartzite countertop, just grab a few clean clothes, a lemon, a melamine sponge or a soft brush, baking powder and isopropyl alcohol if possible. Once you grab these, follow these steps:

  1. Make a paste using baking soda and a few drops of lemon juice, apply it to the stain, and let it sit for 10 minutes before gently wiping it away.

  2. Use a dry melamine sponge or simply a soft brush to rub the stain lightly and make sure you don’t damage the surface.

  3. Buff the area with a clean, dry cloth to remove stains and you\'re done

You will love the shine and result for sure. Nowadays, several cleaning solutions are available online to clean quartzite countertops so you can also use them.
