Here are the calculation steps to get your electricity bill.
First, check your current meter reading, let's say it is 1800 kWh.
Then, take your previous month's reading, maybe 1500 kWh, and subtract it: 1800 − 1500 = 300 kWh used this month.
Now, multiply those 300 units by the rate per unit. If your rate is Rs 7 per kWh, then: 300 x 7 = Rs 2100
After that, add any fixed monthly charge, say Rs 100.
Then include taxes, like 5 percent GST: Rs 2100 x 0.05 = Rs 105
Now just add it all up: Rs 2100 + Rs 100 + Rs 105 = Rs 2305
