How to apply electricity meter in Delhi ?

When I moved to New Delhi for my graduate degree, I was excited and nervous to set my house up. Initially, I struggled with questions like how to apply electricity meter in Delhi, how much the electricity bill and how can I keep all the utilities within my budget. Keep reading to know my solution to all these questions. 

You can apply for a connection with a 50KW load through the TATA website. 

• Click here to open the 

• On the right side of the homepage, you will see ‘Apply for a new connection’ 

• Click on that 

• Read all the terms and conditions. 

• Scroll down and select the choose between ‘apply connection for 1 Kw- 100 Kw’ or ‘apply connection for 101 kW to 200 Kw’

• Select ‘ new application’ 

• In the pertaining column, mention connection details personal details address details. 

• Upload the necessary documents 

• Make the payment online 

This is how to apply new electricity meter in Delhi.

• Application Form with a Passport Size Photograph along with Self Declaration Form

• Proof of Ownership/Occupancy (any one of the following)

• Certified Copy of Title Deed

• Certified Copy of Conveyance Deed

• Possession /Allotment Letter

• GPA

• Rent receipt/Lease agreement along with No Objection Certificate & proof of ownership of landlord.

• ID-Proof : Electoral Identity Card/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Ration Card with Photograph and Pan Card

You can apply for an electricity connection to any of the state providers. Knowing your electricity bill provider and your consumer number makes it easy to track monthly expenses and pay the bill.

My brother recently shifted from his old house to a new one in New Delhi. During this time he applied for a new electricity connection in Delhi. I know he had to visit this online.ndmc.gov.in portal to initiate the new electricity connection request.

How to Apply for New Meter Connection in Delhi?

• He visited this

• Clicked on the New Connection button

• After this, he had to fill out the online form of

  Application for sanction of electricity connection - Delhi

   

• He then clicked on the submit button to initiate the application process

• Along with the form, he also needed to submit a scanned copy of the 'Declaration/Undertaking' form along with the application.

• One recent passport-size colour photo with a white background (not older than six months) (3.5cm / 4.5cm) (Do not Staple)

• Voter Identity Card

• Passport copy (front and last page on single page).

• Photo Identity Card issued by any Govt.Ageny.

• Aadhar Card

• Ration Card
