Marks on walls is a common scenario if you have kids in the house. You will see paintings, drawings and colours on every wall of your house. 1. Soap Water
Most of the people use soap water if the marks are small and easy to remove. All you need is a few drops of liquid dish soap in a bowl of warm water. Use a microfiber cloth so as to avoid scratches on the wall. Dip this cloth in the solution and remove the excess of water. Rub the damp cloth on the stain until it disappears. However, at times, the colour of the wall can fade.
2. Cleaning Erasers
Cleansing eraser looks similar to a sponge and can be found in any general store or even online. This is useful when the marks or stains are tough and cannot be removed with soap water.
All you need to do is wet the cleaning eraser according to the instructions on its packaging. You can do a patch test on one isolated corner to check if the paint doesn’t go off. Also, don’t scrub too hard as it can change the colour of the paint!
3. Homemade Cleanser
I have used this formula at my parents’ house and it works perfectly! Here’s what you’ll need:
a. 1 cup ammonia,
b. 1/2 cup white distilled or apple cider vinegar
c. 1/4 cup baking soda
d. One gallon of warm water
Take a sponge or a cotton cloth and dip it in the solution. Remove the excess solution and gently wipe it on the stained part of the wall.
