About Bandra Kurla Complex

Bandra Kurla Complex Bandra East is a prominent business and residential district in Mumbai. It is on either side of the Mithi River, Vakola Nalla, and Mahim Creek. It covers an area of 370 hectares. The Bandra Kurla Complex Bandra East pin code is 400051. 

BKC's development started in 1977 when the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) was appointed the Special Planning Authority. The area was once low-lying land severely affected by pollution in the Mahim Creek. The MMRDA undertook to channel the Mithi River and Vakola Nalla to improve water carrying capacity and reduce pollution. BKC has developed into a high-end business centre with some of the highest property values in the nation over time.

The area feels safe but very dusty and noisy during the day. Having lived here for almost 5 years, I am somehow accustomed to the noise.

Living here is convenient if you work in nearby offices. the transportation options are plenty and there are malls and cafes nearby too. Roads are good but internal lanes are full of puddles and potholes after rain

Rent is a bit high compared to other areas but my commute to office is easy now. Traffic is a major concern

I have rented out a flat and corporate people usually prefer BKC addresses so occupancy stays high mostly.
