15 Pop Moulding Designs to Light Your Home

Half and Half

If you're looking for a pop corner molding design, then this design of half and half is for you. This design is minimal yet loud. So, if we want a balance of both you could opt for the same design and colour.

Brick Style POP

POP moulding designs are not constrained to the ceiling anymore. If you're looking for a young vibe for your room, you can opt for this pattern with graffiti. But this pattern goes well in subdued colours of red or pastel black.

Simple POP Cornice Moulding Design

This POP design is simple but offers great elegance. You can throw in a range of geometrical figures if the above design is too simple for you. This design goes in all the rooms of the house.

Cornice Moulding Design POP

This POP moulding design is popular in India and is seen in the majority of households. This design is versatile as it can be used for various aesthetics. It can be used in the bedroom as the central design, or in the hallways and balconies as a compliment to your bulbs.

Central - Cornice Moulding POP Design

This design is meant to be a central piece, and the best location for it would be the living room. Avoid using this in the bedroom as it has very dominant energy. If you want to use this design, then go for pop carnish moulding designs in the corner of the room.

Assorted POP Cornice Moulding Design with photo

If you do not want a central piece of POP, then opting for assorted POP moulding designs is a good option. The above photo shows how a well-designed ceiling can instantly be spruced up with some POP. You can either keep the same design for the wall or can opt for varying designs.

Swirl Effect

This design goes perfectly in the children's rooms. This design is not only unique but easily customisable. You could have the pattern painted like the Starry Night painting by Van Gogh. Opt for the colour blue, as the design is chaotic and the colour blue will balance that out.

Abstract

POP moulding designs aren't always methodologically intricate. POP is a flexible material, hence, creating an abstract effect comes in handy. This design can be used around the corners of the walls to create a boundary and to give the room more depth.

Royal Intrinsic

This carnish moulding pop design does not need any explanation because its grandeur speaks for itself. If you have a spacious living room, you could opt for this magnificent design. But keep in mind - such delicate work is expensive and takes longer to complete.

POP Moulding Corner Design

This design has great popularity in the Indian market. It is simple yet beautifully intricate at the same time. This design can be added to any corner of your house. An additional bonus for this design is that it goes with any shade of paint.

Floral POP Moulding Design

This design looks beautiful as seen in the photo above, but tread cautiously. This design has to be mildly managed because the pattern is loud. But use the 3D effect to your use by adding colourful highlights.

Grandeur of POP

If you are looking for something grand that screams royalty, then the above design is meant for you. More than the design, what catches one's eye is the sheer size of the POP moulding design. This will look good only in huge spacious homes.

POP Pillars

Pillars are commonly seen in old Indian ancestral homes. The POP cornice moulding design can instantly transform the look of the foundational pillar. You can also mix the spec of this design with gold to give it a luxe effect.

Floral Wave

This design is both a mix of the floral pattern and the abstract wave. It adds to the mysterious vibe of the house. Because the design is so intricate and congested, opt for pastel shades so as to give it a more balanced and spacious look.

(Source:pinterest) Cornish POP design with chandelier

If you want a huge floral POP moulding design, then as mentioned above proceed with caution. You can opt for a basic floral design and stylise the look with a fancy chandelier.

Precaution While Installing a Pop Moulding Design for the Roof

  • Make sure the area where the product will be applied isn't prone to leaks.
  • Use POP from renowned firms like JK Lakshmi Cement or Gypsona to avoid cracking throughout the procedure.
  • Consider whether a specific POP consistency is appropriate for the space at hand.
  • Select a false ceiling that is 10 to 12 mm thick. Anything less would be at risk of being harmed.
  • Make sure the POP is totally dry before installing the ceiling.
  • Electrical cables should be confined within a pipe to reduce the risk of accidental fires.

Additional Informal on Pop Moulding Designs

People choose quality POP cornice moulding designs for their homes for aesthetic reasons. POP ceilings allow you to change the appearance of a simple ceiling, which is important when determining the volume of a room or space. A ceiling is a flat surface that contributes to the psychological and physical comfort of a place by providing greater uninterrupted surface area. Furthermore, individuals are becoming increasingly interested in selecting the greatest POP moulding design for their homes. A POP ceiling for your home makes it easy to use various lighting ways, which contributes to the create a visibly relaxed environment.

Techniques for POP

Ceilings are one of the most important components of interior space because they provide a good perspective of workspaces. Any interior room's ceiling is an important characteristic that distinguishes a house. Depending on the region, the concept, individual tastes, climate, and other factors, POP design cornice moulding can be created. A vintage-inspired motif such as reproducing the terrace roof on ceilings, exposed concrete finishes, hollowed out or projecting ceilings to experiment with light dispersion, and so on are all popular.

Cost-Effective

You can build a false ceiling theme that complements the style and décor of your home. A ceiling can be improved by a variety of POP moulding designs. Practical considerations such as the structure's stability must be considered when it comes to ceilings.

Volume Depends on the Height of the Ceiling

Keep the room's altitude in mind while designing a POP ceiling for your home. Furthermore, when designing an office or commercial space, service lines such as HVAC, lighting, and other support lines will consume a certain percentage of the space's height, resulting in a reduced altitude. POP installation and execution should be based on the aesthetic or theme you want to create, considering the material's nature, durability, fastening, and physical qualities such as height, surface polish, and so on.

The Layout and Design

Decide which region you want to cover with the POP moulding design. For a more seamless fake ceiling design in the bedroom, it's also a good idea to plan or stick to the room's geometry. It allows you to use the geometry of a room to generate the volume effect you want.

If you need to boost the lighting, stick to a small area with a mix of cove and spot fixture lighting. If you want to improve the look and feel of a room, you can experiment with different colours and materials with different textures to get the look and feel you want.

Finish and Colour

It is not necessary for POP ceilings to be light and neutral in colour. Context, theme, purpose, and desired look can all be used to choose shades or surfaces that blend in with the surroundings or an idea. You can use various colours depending on the aesthetic you want to achieve. White shades give a smooth, clear view; other colours can be used depending on the design you want for your home.

Future-oriented Planning

When creating a POP ceiling, keep in mind that due to practical constraints, you won't be able to update or change the design regularly - instead, prepare and choose designs that are timeless and adaptable. Ensure that your service lines and connections, such as AC pipes, ducts, sprinklers, smoke detectors, and public speaker systems, are not obstructed by the POP moulding design.

A POP moulding design adds drama to the space. POP designs can dramatically transform the look of a room from drab to fantastic. False ceilings can be used to hide central air conditioning systems or to disguise conventional ceilings in the living room, bedroom, dining room, or any other room in the house. To make your bedroom appear larger and more elegant, POP designs may be customised in a variety of colours, styles, and sizes, with possibilities ranging from modern to complex classic designs. My daughter who is studying architecture in college came with me to the HSR center. She was quizzing the consultant about material sustainability—whether the plywood is from certified sources, if the laminates have low VOC emissions, what happens to waste material from the factory. The consultant handled every question and even pulled up their material certification documents. My daughter was impressed. She told me later: 'Appa, this company actually knows their supply chain, not just their design.' When a 20-year-old architecture student validates your choice, you know you've picked right.

Just finished the design phase with NoBroker interiors. I really appreciate the efforts done by our designer Sujendra Shetty. He helped and guided us in all designs we finalised. He was really patient while we took our time to finalise the designs and when we did material reselection. He was proffesional yet friendly and made the design phase smooth for us. We would be starting the production soon and I will update this review on project completion.

Specifically writing about the false ceiling consultation at the center. I didnt know there was so much to know about ceilings! The designer showed us different options—gypsum board, POP, wooden grid, MDF panels—and explained which works best for which room. The living room got a peripheral cove lighting design with warm LEDs, the bedroom got a simple recessed light plan (she said elaborate ceilings in bedrooms can feel oppressive when your lying down, which makes total sense), and the kids room got a small starlight panel. She also planned all the AC routing, curtain pelmet concealment, and speaker cable channels inside the false ceiling so nothing is visible. The ceiling alone transformed how our rooms feel. Also, their false ceiling pricing per sq ft was pretty competitive—I had checked with two separate contractors before.

This review is from a couple who fights about everything haha. I wanted dark colors and modern look, my husband wanted light wood and earthy tones. The designer at Varthur center literally played mediator. She showed us a concept where the common areas (living room, kitchen) use light wooden textures that my husband likes, and the master bedroom uses the darker charcoal tones that I prefer. The kids room got a neutral palette with colorful accents. Everyone happy. She called it 'transitional design' where different zones have different personalities but connected by a common accent color (we chose teal). The 3D walkthrough she made showed exactly how it all flows together. I showed it to 3 friends and they all said it looks like something out of Architectural Digest. OK maybe I'm exaggerating a little but you get the point. We both love it.

To anyone reading this whos been burned by interior companies before—I hear you. We had a nightmare experience with our first apartment 5 years ago. Carpenter disappeared midway, materials were cheap despite paying premium, and the kitchen started coming apart in less than a year. Walking into NoBroker Varthur, I told the consultant straight up: 'Ive been cheated before and I need to see proof of quality, not just promises.' She showed me actual plywood certification sheets, laminate manufacturer warranties, hardware brand guarantee cards. She then arranged for us to visit a 2-year-old NoBroker project nearby—the kitchen was still in perfect condition after 2 years of heavy Indian cooking. That home visit is what sealed the deal for me. If your on the fence, ask them to show you a real project thats been lived in for over a year. The proof is in the pudding.

We had a unique situation—our apartment has two different wall thicknesses in the kitchen area due to some builder construction issue. One wall is standard 4.5 inch and the adjacent one is 9 inch. The NoBroker Varthur team actually sent a measurement person who identified this variation and adjusted the cabinet depth design accordingly so both sides look flush from the front. Previous vendor we consulted didn't even notice this discrepancy during their site visit. The devil truly is in the details and NoBroker catches those devils.

We are from Thanisandra and visited the center for our villa interior project. The designer adapted her approach for a larger independent house—didn't just scale up apartment designs. She proposed separate design personalities for ground floor (where guests are entertained—formal, elegant) and first floor (private family spaces—warm, casual). The staircase got under-staircase pull-out storage that holds 30 pairs of shoes. The double-height living room got a dramatic false ceiling with a chandelier recess. The master bedroom got a walk-in closet design instead of a regular wardrobe. Villa interiors need different thinking than apartment interiors and this team clearly has experience with both formats.

I had a great experience with NoBroker Interiors at the HRBR Experience Centre. The entire process was smooth and well-managed. Pradnyan (Designer) did an excellent job in understanding our requirements and providing thoughtful design solutions. Unnav from Sales was very supportive and ensured everything was clearly explained and well-coordinated throughout the process. Hetal also gave a detailed explanation, making it easy for us to understand every aspect. Overall, the team was professional, responsive, and helpful. Looking forward to moving ahead with them!

Something specific about the Horamavu team that I havent seen mentioned in other reviews—they offer a FREE pre-site-assessment before giving you any quotation. An engineer visits your apartment, checks wall conditions for dampness, verifies electrical point locations, measures ceiling height variations (builder flats often have slightly uneven ceilings), checks floor levelness, and documents any structural elements like beams and pillars that affect furniture placement. All this BEFORE you pay a single rupee. This assessment report then becomes the foundation for an accurate design and quotation. Other companies quote based on a floor plan drawing alone without ever seeing the actual site conditions. That's like prescribing medicine without examining the patient.

I am delighted to write this review after completing my VILA interior through NO BROKER Team The production and execution team is very professional and customer friendly in accommodating and matching with our requirements and our dreams of what we want to have it in our home. If I can mention the name then it is certainly Mr. Harsha, Mr. Munish and Mr. Suhail will take away entire credit for the final output This team is far better than their in-house design team who doesn't know much about practical application of what they or could do using a software. They need more experience particularly using the wood and material selection along with final finish with light fittings. Even though there was a mismatch and less expectation from NO BROKER certain team members, The above mentioned team members pulled it together and gave the best satisfactory finish

We visited for our complete 4BHK project and what impressed me most was the COORDINATION. NoBroker didnt just handle the modular furniture—they coordinated with our painter for color matching, our electrician for additional power points needed for built-in appliances and wardrobe USB charging, and our AC contractor for duct routing through the false ceiling. They provided a detailed coordination document to each vendor listing exactly what pre-work needs to happen before their installation begins. This vendor coordination is usually a NIGHTMARE—the typical situation is each vendor blaming the other for delays. Having one team that manages all the interfaces is incredibly valuable.

As a working professional with limited time to manage contractors, the project management aspect is what attracted me. Visited the center with a Pinterest board of 47 saved kitchen images. The consultant didn’t get overwhelmed. She patiently went through each one, identified common elements I was drawn to (handleless cabinets, wooden textures, open shelving), and created a unified design that captured the essence of all those pins. She basically translated my chaotic Pinterest board into a cohesive design. Overall we are very satisfied with the entire experience from start to finish.
