Hi,

If you have paid the amount and didn’t register the document, then you are required to apply for the stamp duty refund within six months from the date on which you have paid the stamp duty amount. I don’t think you will be able to get the stamp duty back after 8 months. You can reach out to the Sub-registrar Office or jurisdictional District Registrar Office for further information.
